Choosing a design that works on the field
A design has to read from the stands and on a phone screen, not just on a mockup. Numbers need strong contrast against the base colour, and busy all-over patterns work best when the name and number sit on a solid panel.
League rules matter too. Some leagues set minimum number heights, restrict certain colours or require home and away contrast, so check before a design is finalised.
